While in combat, always keep an eye on your character\’s head, more than on the enemies. You are going to be reacting to the enemy\’s moves based on the color and shape of the symbols on your character\’s head. You are often going to be outnumbered and overwhelmed even with enemies off screen so you won\’t always see the attacks coming. However you will see these symbols and colors on your character\’s head giving you ample time to react and keep safe. The yellow symbol means you can block and counter attack while the Red symbol means you need to evade.

Unlocking additional spells are useful as many of these spells are needed for later on in the main missions. There are many side quests in Hogwarts Legacy which are well worth doing and most of them are needed for the main missions.
